The F22 was facelifted in 2017. Pre-LCI cars (2014 to 2017) carried Xenon as a popular factory option. From 2018 onward the standard fitment moved to LED, so check your build year carefully if the car is borderline.
Installation
Each kit ships with RGBW PCB boards matched to the F22 Xenon housing, a linking wire to sync both sides, a Bluetooth controller paired to the LotusLamp X app, a wiring harness loom and thermal paste. Headlights need to come out for fitting, so this is not a plug-and-play job. Any auto-electrician will fit it quickly.
Common questions
- Will this fit the F23 Convertible or F87 M2? The F23 Convertible shares the same headlight assembly as the F22 Coupé and will accept this kit if it is a pre-LCI Xenon car. The F87 M2 also shares the assembly. The F87 M2 Competition is the LCI car and uses the LED headlight, which needs the F22 LED kit instead.
- How do I tell pre-LCI from LCI on the F22? Pre-LCI F22 has round angel eyes inside the headlight. LCI F22 (2018 onward) has hexagonal LED daytime running lights and a more aggressive lower air intake on the bumper.
