The G30 launched in 2017. This kit covers 2018 to 2020. BMW updated the G30 in 2020, and the post-update Adaptive LED headlight uses a different DRL geometry that this kit does not cover.
Installation
Each kit ships with RGBW PCB boards matched to the early G30 Adaptive LED housing, a linking wire to sync both sides, a Bluetooth controller paired to the LotusLamp X app, a wiring harness loom and thermal paste. The Adaptive cornering motors are untouched. Headlights need to come out for fitting, so this is not a plug-and-play job.
Common questions
- How do I tell Adaptive LED from Laser on the G30? The Laser car has a blue X logo inside the lens. Adaptive LED has twin halo rings without the blue X. If you are not sure, send us a photo of the front of the car and we will confirm which kit fits.
- Will it fit the G31 Touring? Yes. The G30 Saloon and G31 Touring share the same headlight assembly with the Adaptive LED option, so this kit fits both.
- Does it work on the M5 F90? Yes if your M5 has the Adaptive LED headlight option. Laser is a different fitment we do not currently supply for the M5.
