The G30 launched in 2017. This kit covers the pre-LCI standard LED variant from 2017 to 2020. BMW updated the G30 in 2020 and the LCI standard LED headlight uses different DRL geometry that this kit does not cover.
Installation
Each kit ships with RGBW PCB boards matched to the pre-LCI G30 standard LED housing, a linking wire to sync both sides, a Bluetooth controller paired to the LotusLamp X app, a wiring harness loom and thermal paste. Headlights need to come out for fitting, so this is not a plug-and-play job.
Common questions
- How do I tell standard LED from Adaptive LED on the G30? Standard LED has a single L-shape across the top of the headlight. Adaptive LED has twin halo rings and the inner LED block visibly swivels when you turn the wheel on the move. If you are not sure, send us a photo of the front of the car and we will confirm which kit fits.
- Will it fit the G31 Touring? Yes. The G30 Saloon and G31 Touring share the same standard LED headlight assembly, so this kit fits both.
- Will it fit the post-2020 LCI G30? No. BMW redesigned the G30 LED headlight at the 2020 LCI and the DRL geometry changed. This kit covers the pre-LCI shape only.
